Nokia 5310 Express Music review
By Oyen Mendoza
I've had my Nokia 5310 Express Music phone in the past 4,408 text messages received and 3,454 text messages sent. I actually had it as a downgrade from an N80. I chose slim, sleek and simple over GPS-capable and WiFi-enabled key-sliding "equipment" because I wanted something "mobile". Sure N80 lets me browse the net anytime anywhere, but I already have my laptop for that; and it gives me the option to check my location, but that's a load of crap when you're in the Philippines and no decent GPS-tracking company supports your needs. Heck it even took me 15 minutes to get my not so accurate longitude and latitude bearing! Nokia 5310, on the other hand, does what a phone should in the most efficient way. It meets the requirements and it meets them well. Looking for a good feature? It has a two-hour playback battery life, which means that you can listen to your play list for two straight hours before it runs out of battery. My N80's battery life barely lasted 24 hours doing the most basic tasks of sending and receiving SMS; 5310 lasts for two full days under the same stress and more! The best thing? I doesn't look like I have a brick on my pocket when I carry it around. Also, the music player controls beside the screen don't only look good, they make you look like you're carrying an MP3 player instead of a phone!

Contributor's Note
I don't plan on switching phones this year, I'll probably keep this one either until it breaks down (I doubt it would) or if I win a new just-as-sleek model.
